Teslation

For art this term we are doing tessellations. How to do it.
We have a little rectangle and you cut out shapes. then you get a big bit of paper and you stick it on the paper and then you take the paper off and put it beside it.Have you tried this?,.Would you like to have a go?

  1. Kia ora Lucy,
Well done on creating this blog post about your tessellation artwork. To be completely honest, I was a little unsure as to what a tessellation was, so I decided to Google it and find out. According to Google, a tessellation is an arrangement of shapes closely fitted together, especially of polygons in a repeated pattern without gaps or overlapping.
After reading this definition and taking a second look at your artwork, I can see what a fantastic job you have done in creating this tessellation. The pattern you have designed is extremely unique, and in my opinion looks exactly like the outline of Jafar from Aladdin!
How long did this artwork take you to make?
How did you get the shapes next to each other without any gaps?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
Quick Tip- I see you have included a small paragraph about how you created this artwork. It would be great if you could edit your blog post and rewrite this paragraph into a method. Not only will this help your post look a bit neater, but if any of your viewers want to have a go at making a tessellation they will have the procedure to do so.
    Keep up the great effort!
    Nga mihi
