This week we have been learning about fake news. What we have to do is make a poster about things that you could notice in fake news sites or fake news posters. We also had to make a fake animal and we are going to show it to the other classes to see if they can tell if it is real or fake. We were reading about the tree octopus and we all thought that it was real but it is fake. Have you heard of a tree octopus.?
Welcome to my blog, I'm a student at Kaniere School on the West Coast in New Zealand.

Kaniere history
We have been learning about Kaniere and Hokitika history. We went on West Coast Rcollect, which is a web site with lots of old photoo's on it, to find some pictures. We had some free time on it for a couple minutes so we could know what to do. After that we had to do it i went on Canva, which is a collage maker and I just put photos on there. I just did Kaniere. Have you done history of your area before? You can see the photo It was really fun.

Papercopters
Today for reading we had to make papercopters this is how to make them. Fold a 1X10 inch strip of paper in half. Fold the ends down about two inches but don't fold them straight down. Instead fold them at a slight angle. Push a paper clip onto the bottom and fold the wings out. Decorate your papercopter with markers or crayons. Holding your papercopter by the paper clip throw it into the air and watch it spin. That was a reading task for us. We done it because in the story the cat dyed so the boy made the cat in to a helicopter so we made helicopters. They are a little hard when you make them but when you watch them spin it looks really cool!
