This is the wave that I have made the one at the bottom is the one that i made the one at the top is the original. I am proud of it because I think mine looks better the sky is red because it is about to rain. I done this art for the SLJ. I got the piture from the art coloring book. It looks like the boat is covered with water! 

Papercopters

Today for reading we had to make papercopters this is how to make them. Fold a 1X10 inch strip of paper in half. Fold the ends down about two inches but don't fold them straight down. Instead fold them at a slight angle. Push a paper clip onto the bottom and fold the wings out. Decorate your papercopter with markers or crayons. Holding your papercopter by the paper clip throw it into the air and watch it spin. That was a reading task for us. We done it because in the story the cat dyed so the boy made the cat in to a helicopter so we made helicopters. They are a little hard when you make them but when you watch them spin it looks really cool!

Mister Kinane

Today mister Kinane came in to our class he will be coming till Wednesday. My partner was Haki there was only ten micro bits so we had to be in partners. There was a test who could make the radio signil go for the longest take. We were with Jack and Taylor. We got up to about 54 steps and another group got to 104 steps!

This week my class has been making kites. 🪁First we had to make the base. 🪁Second we tied two pieces of string on to it.🪁 last we had to get some sticks and make them the right size that was the hardest bit.🪁 We haven't finished yet but I am about half finished. Have you ever made kites like this? 🪁They are so FUN!🪁

 

Camp

Last week the year 5's and 6's went to camp at Christchurch Woodend park. There was lots of fun stuff like a water slide, there was airo jump, and orienteering, and rock climbing there are LOTS of other things. On Thursday we had a big day out we went to the air force Museum and Orana park. It was so fun. Have you ever went camping with some of you school?

 

Collage

 This is my collage it has donkey ears, cat face, lamb body, pig tail, and horse legs. 🦊We had to do a collage today.🦊 And it takes practse.🦊 It's name is crazy because it is crazy.🦊 I used explore to get the pictures and I used crop tool to make the pictures better.🦊

Barrier game

 Today we had Mrs Minehan in our class. We had a partner it is a bit like battle ships but your partner had to say where you have to but the shapes. Both partners got have a go. My favourite one was the boat one. Have you ever played battle ships or barrier game? 

    

 This is our magic show that we had at school today.🐦El Gregoe came to our school and done some magic tricks.🐦He done lots of bird tricks some were funny.🐦There was one of a bench floating!🐦 And there was one of a rabbit first he was being silly because he pulled out a glove and pretended it to be a rabbit.🐦Then he pulled a real rabbit out!!!🐦It was really cool.🐦

Gardening

Yesterday we done some gardening me, Xanthe, Louis, and Olivia had this job.  We had to pick all the weeds out of the plants, then we had to put all the same plants together. A few days ago me,Taylor,  Jack T and Olivia put some fertiliser on the plants. We put is on there to help the plants grow.It was fun.

 

Animation

 

This is mine and Sofia's animation about Isla. Today we went into ruma Kotuku and done cybersmart. We wached a video about bubbles and we had buddys. The buddys we had were little kids. Isla taught me how to draw on the ipad and how to record and I taught her how to do animation It was quite fun!

Notans

My class has been doing notans. We are doing them for our calendar art. To do notans you get two pieces  of paper and draw some things and then flip them. When we done it I didnt know what they were but now I do. We have learnt about reflection and they are made in japanese. They are really fun to make but it takes practice! 

Egg experiment

For the school challenge this weak we have to make a egg bounce and it can't be boiled!🥚We have got some white vinegar and some malt vinegar.🥚 When we tried to do the malt vinegar one we done it inside and it went all over the floor and when we done the white vinegar one we done it outside and we got a ruler and done it from 10cm  and it bounced and 20cm it popped but luckliy Mrs Hickford had a container under it so it didn't go all over the concrete.🥚😯 We now have some more some more.in jars and we are going to wait longer.🥚⇩

Junk 2 funk

This is my groups Junk 2 Funk project. We are making a super virus. We are using toilet rolls, a box, hot glue guns, tape and scissors.

The people in the group are Renny, Olivia, Sofia, Xanthe and me.

Junk 2 Funk is a competition were we use recycling and make things for it and the theme is contagious.

                                            It was really fun.

Science

This is our science experiment. We made it for to see what happens and for fun first we had some special powder and we put some spoonful's of water in it and it growed then we put salt in it and it turned into water.

Real or fake

This is my animation I turned a rabbit into a cat. I created it for Cybersmart. I am proud of it because it took a long time making it. I have learnt  that it is a little bit hard to make a animation but it is still fun. Have you ever made a animation.

This is my planing bio cube we done it for reading. I am proud of it because it we need to do one on a different bit and because I have put a lot of effort. And I learnt what a bio cube is. have you ever made a bio cube.

  

Pepeha

This is my Pepeha. My hole class made a Pepeha for to put on our waka art that we have done. I made it by looking at the words at the front ko means name nō means were you came from and kei means where you live now. Have you ever made a Pepeha. It was a little bit hard.

Somo paint flower

This is my Sumo paint flower. We made them for cybersmart it was fun. You need to go to Sumopaint.com/flash/ that is what you need to go to if you want to do sumo paint. I use the fill bucket tall for the colours. Have you ever done Sumo paint?

St Johns

This is when we went to St Johns. We tried to put a bandage each other up wile holding a knives that are fake. And we had a challenge and I was the writer in my group.
